Third-party DNS…

If you’re looking for a good third-party DNS provider that allows you to block ads, domains, and other such stuff at the network DNS level that’s lower than that of even your web browser, look no further than NextDNS. It’s free to use up to three hundred thousand DNS lookups per month with blocking enabled and after that it turns into a simple DNS provider with no blocking. If you want to sign up, it’s cheap! It’s only $1.99 a month!

I’ve been using it for quite some time, it’s faster. Then again, AT&T’s public DNS servers have never been that great. That’s my ISP, by the way. So NextDNS has been great for me.

They provide setup instructions for nearly every system including web browsers like Chrome, Edge, and Firefox for DNS-over-HTTPs, router setup instructions, and they even provide a certificate generator for your Apple iOS devices.
