Many of the programs that are offered here on this web site contain automatic update functionality. In order for these programs to check for updates the program must contact my web site and retrieve a small bit of data. In the process of checking for an update the program sends to my web site a program code or name of the program to identify the program that you’re using along with the current version of the program you currently have. The version that is sent consists of the major and minor version numbers, for example… 1.2. An example of a program code is “restorepointcreator”. No personally identifying information is stored or sent to my server when checking for an update. The version of Windows that you are using along with the program name and versions are also sent to my web site for platform tracking purposes. I do not use this data to personally identify you in any way, I simply use this to gather anonymous platform statistics (how many people still use Windows XP, 7, 8.1, etc.). No personally identifying information is stored.
Downloads are counted on this site for tracking how many people are downloading my programs. All that is tracked is the number of people who downloaded a file. No personally identifying information is stored.
OPERATING SYSTEM NAMES
The operating system name is sent when programs from this web site contact this web site for updates and other HTTP-related activity. I use this data to track what versions of Windows are the most popular versions of Windows among my users. This is how I came to the conclusion that Windows XP isn’t very popular among my users hence the reason why I pulled support for Windows XP. All that happens is a counter increment based upon the name of the OS.
PROGRAM NAMES AND VERSION NUMBERS
The program name and version info is sent when programs from this web site contact this web site for updates and other HTTP-related activity. I use this data to customize what data is being fed to the program, this is especially important for System Restore Point Creator because there are systems in place on this web site that sends customized changelogs based upon what version of the program you currently have installed.

CRASH SUBMISSION DATA
Many of the programs that are offered here on this web site contain the ability to automatically submit crash data to me. The crash data contains the following data. Your IP Address, your email address, the time of the crash, operating system and version of the operating system, the current version of the Microsoft .NET Framework installed on your system, how much RAM your system has, your CPU, the number of cores your CPU has, the current program version, the user under which the program is running on your system, the crash type, and the crash message. This information is never shared with anyone, the information contained in the crash data is used only by me to facilitate the process of debugging my programs and is kept strictly confidential.
An example of crash data that’s sent to me is…
