As many people have discovered there’s a lot of apps that Windows 10 comes with by default that you can’t remove. Apps like…
Note the “Uninstall” button, it’s grayed out. You can’t remove it!
Well, that was the case until now. Introducing the Windows 10 App Manager. The tool that lists all of the apps installed for a user and gives you the ability to remove said “uninstallable” apps. Plus the program will even tell you what the apps are and if they are safe to uninstall, this is thanks to an XML file that’s bundled with the program the acts like a sort of app dictionary to tell the program what’s safe and what’s not safe to remove. Apps can be added to this app dictionary file and official updates to that XML file are released as needed and update-able through the program itself. This program is free! Yes FREE!
As you can see in the screenshot below it shows you the “Friendly Name” so that you know what that long name really is, how much space the app is taking on your system, and if it’s removable (that is, safe to remove).
